Quality Vacation Club (qvc)
As I predicted - no solution

Traveling & Tourism

(see previous posts) Recent e-mail from QVC: "... Please can you advise where and when you wish to go on holiday in order for us to check availability for you". We replied Brookes Hill in P.E. Predictable QVC reply: "Please note that I have done an availability search at Brookes Hill Pavilion as well as the whole of the Eastern Cape for the period... and all the resorts are currently fully booked". They then go on to offer me some Guest Lodge on the South Coast - I rest my case. I was also told in another e-mail that if I wasn't satisfied I could sell my points (outstanding customer relations) - but of course you can't because they're worthless. Now consider this: QVC management fee 2013 /- R 7 500. A 'private' booking Brookes Hill for 1 week = between R 5 000 - R 7 500 depending on unit. So I ask again: what benefit is there in having QVC points? You pay an annual management fee roughly equivalent of what a weeks holiday would cost you anyway; you battle every year to find a venue and then eventually have to settle for something you didn't really want; on top of that there is the large initial investment for the QVC points. My QVC points are now a liability, not an investment
