Selling of Points

I have been trying to sell my Holiday Club Points for over 2 years now, with any joy. I don't use them and incur a annual fee for levies which I deem unnecessary. After being promised that the points are an investment, I cannot seem to get rid of them.
I contacted The Holiday Club to ask the to buy back my points, only to receive the following response "We regret to advise that The Holiday Club does not deal in the re-sale of Points, an can unfortunately not assist you".
I have tried resale agencies, with no luck.
