My dad is a voyager member and asked me to book a flight for my stepmom to go to Perth at the end of June this year. I provisionally booked a flight on thurs for the dates that I had wanted and was given an estimate of about 165 000 miles. Then when I call in a couple days later the story changes! There is some mishap with the virgin airline ticket on the way back. Anyway, the gentlemen then changed the flight and it was for an earlier return flight but I left it. Then this morning the miles cleared and I wanted to confirm the booking and again, the story changes!! Just before I book I asked what the taxes would be and to confirm that it was 165 000 miles... It was now roughly 190 000 miles!! So again I had to change the flight to leave on the 21st instead of the 22nd, so I bit my tongue and changed it. Less than 10min later I get a voicemail saying I need to call SAA urgently. Then I call, again, and get told that someone else has reserved that seat and I will have to change my flight yet again! What is the point of SAA voyager and why on earth is it so complicated to make and confirm a booking?! I have never received such shocking service before!
