No response to notification of damaged baggage

After a flight on kulula my checked-in bag was damaged. I only realized once we reached our accommodation since the damage was not to be seen immediately. The lock I used to secure the bag was torn of which let to parts of the zip being torn off which makes it very difficult/almost impossible to open/close the bag.
I e-mailed kulula twice about the incident and got no response.
(after a previous experience of a telephonic conversation with their call centre without outcome which cost me 25 Rand I try to avoid phoning their call centre)
