I was flying on Kulula MN595 from Lanseria to Durban today (22/05/13). The racks above my seat were full so I could not stow my carry on baggage. As I did not want to leave my carry on baggage in a rack that was too far from where I was seated I attempted to make space. As I was doing this I was accosted by one of the stewardesses by the name of Suzanne who began uttering slurs at me because I was taking too long to move down the aisle. Her exact words were "I don't work for your Indian people. I am not your servant". This was stated to me while I was struggling to place my bag in the rack. For the record I did at no stage ask her for assistance. I was flabbergasted that a racially charged statement was made at me so I did not even have the ability to respond. Is this the type of staff that Kulula hire? I have never been attacked racially by a service provider before. I did then complain to the head stewardess Farzana who was very apologetic and tried to assist.
