After a lovely trip from Jo'burg to PE on the Intercape Sleepliner on 1 Jan 2014, Intercape messed it up for the return trip.

I was booked on a Sleepliner travelling from PE to Jo'burg on 9 Jan 2014. Several things went wrong with the trip:

1) As far as Colesberg, we were issued with a Citiliner bus, i.e. no Sleepliner seats, or seatbelts. No refund or explanation was given for the change.

2) I had tried to get my party of 7 kids and myself seats together but the hostess had told everyone to sit anywhere so the only free seats were not together. The hostess didn't help at all, I got people to swap to get the younger kids near to me, but 4 kids were still upstairs and me downstairs. An adult man attempted to hold the hand of a 13 year old girl. The hostess did swap him after I told her, but this need never have happened.

3) At Colesberg, I found that the hostess still hadn't put us together on the new bus, 2 kids were still upstairs. No attempt was made to swap passengers until I got upset.

4) On the new bus, one of the seats had a broken seatbelt so of our party 7 people travelled without a seatbelt for half the journey, and one person had no seatbelt for the whole journey.
