Paid twice for bus I could not board!!!

My family and I had booked bus tickets to the value of R880 and paid online via the City to City website with an FNB Cheque Card using Verified by Visa.
The tickets were booked for the next morning at 8:30 am. We reached the station at 8:00 am only to be told that we cannot get onto the bus because "the funds have not reflected in their bank account" even though our reference number was on the system. The employees insisted that in order to e able to board the bus, we must provide a receipt or proof of payment (which you do not get when you pay online via Verified By Visa). We showed them the Bank History, and the funds deducted from the account.
After a long argument, they said that if we book more tickets they will refund us the money. We booked for the next bus but by the time the employee had finished, it had left us.
We were there for hours on end. When we asked about the refund they just kept saying that we will get it and changing the subject.
They called yesterday to say that they would refund us with the R880, only for them to take an additional R880.
I'm really appalled with the service! All I want is my money back and to forget that horrible experience. Never again.
