Abysmal Handling of Lost Luggage

On the 8th of August 2013 I took a bus from Pietermaritzburg to Johannesburg.
Upon arrival at the Midrand drop-off, I proceeded to collect my luggage with the luggage ticket I was given when boarding the bus.
A piece of my luggage was missing and despite a thorough search for it, the driver was unable to find it.
The driver, David, told me that the luggage would have been incorrectly picked up at the Parkstation depot.
I was assured by David that he would investigate, log a complaint and contact me the same night.
David also gave me his contact number to reach him for feedback.

When I arrived home and tried to call David, the number he gave to me did not exist.
I personally logged a call and have still not received any response.

I called the call centre and spoke to Letitia Moodley who repeatedly told me that my situation could not be rectified and no one could help me.
It was only when she spoke to my daughter, that she promised to have the matter looked into.

I have always travelled with Intercape and motivated my friends and family to do the same.
This awful experience turns all of that around.
