I booked tickets online Nov. '12 to and from JHB-CTN for my Wife and kids on Travelstart's website using my credit card details for Travelstart to process payment with. TravelStart sent me a sms Mar '13, which stated that payment was not processed, they further explained that they had system problems & requested I deposit the outstanding amt. into their account. I asked if there were any other outstanding amts and they said No. 3 Weeks ago I get an e-mail from attorneys 'Nicol, Davis and Associates' notifying me that I would be prosecuted if i did not pay TravelStart an amt owed to them & the bill included paying the legal fees too. I paid the outstanding amts but the situation leaves me somewhat discombobulated as to why i had to pay for negligence on Travelstarts behalf. Their lawyers contacted me why could they not have done the same? To be handed over to attorneys without a warning certainly makes me question Travelstarts administrative ability &integrity. If they were as good as people say this matter would have been dealt with entirely differently & they could have save me the embarrassment. The legal fees should by right be re-imbursed.
