Amazing how this airline is one that does not respond!!! Considering it South Africas Prime airline, or should i say one that needs the most TRAINING,!! My in-laws needed to get to Durban from Johannesburg, We booked them a flight using their ebucks. We was then asked to call SAA to organize wheelchair as both my in laws have difficulty walking on their own strength. We normally drive them down but due to the emergency we had to book. We was told by SAA that they would get back to us regarding the wheelchair, however when they did, they asked us to book another flight, as the wheelchair protcol had been reached. We refused as it was an emergency they get to durban, We were then told they would back to us, which they did not. On arrival at airport, at the checkout counter, we were told the flight had been moved to later, and that we have to pay a excess of R1000. Which i consider so unfair. My father in law had to pay the excess, I feel this unfair as they are old unwell people. SAA took advantage of this as they could not argue with the airline, as they needed to board a flight to durban. WHY SHOULD THEY PAY EXTRA FOR A FAULT ON SAA PART!!!
the service they recieved was TERRIBLE.
