Ridiculous Baggage Policy

3 passengers on Kulula MN127 a Sunday afternoon flight between Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Official Kulula policy 20kgs bagage per person. ie a total entitlement of 60kg's for the 3 passengers.

Booked in 1 bag for all 3 passengers weighing 23kg's. Check in staff and manager on duty confirmed that I would have to pay R250 excess bagage fee.

I enquired about the 47kg of unused bagage allowance to be told I could remove some items from the bag to be checked in and put them in another bag in the hold or put them in my hand luggage. This is AMAZING for obvious reasons.

I understand that airlines need bagage policy but checkin staff should have some level of discretion to deal with absurd situations like this one.

I fly almost every week with the other Comair airline and cannot believe how poor the service is on Kulula.
