I needed to book an urgent flight for my mother from Durban to JHB . On trying online a clause was presented that I needed to acknowledge that I would present the card at the check in counter. Being in JHB this was not going to be possible. I therefore proceeded to contact the call centre to only be told the same and that is the company policy and needed to be adhered to. Only alternative was to send a fax copy of the card to my mother. Please could someone tell me how you would have such a ludicrous policy in place. Do you never have third parties who purchase tickets online for other individuals?
I proceeded then to check with Kulula and this was no problem what so ever. Mom has now just boarded her Kulula flight in DBN and is safely en route to see her ill mother.
