I'm utterly disgusted by the services of Translux. On Friday, 14 June 2013 I was due to go to Mthatha. The ticket said the bus LEAVES the station in PE at 19h00. I got there early as I'm to be there 30 minutes before departure for check-in. it was cold, windy and raining. The bus delayed. No one knew when it was coming, not even the employees. We were never informed that the bus was delayed, we had to guess. The bus only got to the station at 20h45, after hours of standing in the cold and occasionally getting wet from the rain when looking for the bus. As if it that, when we got to King William's Town, the bus broke down. For a good 3 hours, we waited for a mechanic. There was nothing to eat, no snack packs were given when boarding the bus. Because I have ulcers I suffered immensely from this and had to treat my ulcer when I got home. When the bus was finally fixed, it proceeded to Mthatha without stopping even once for refreshments. I got to Mthatha at 06h30 instead of 01h40 as stated on the ticket. Because of all the cold endured from waiting for the bus, I now have a cold and had to spend R254 buying meds from the pharmacy today. DISGUSTING!!!
