Forfeiting mispalced tickets

On 21/03/2013 myself Ntokozo Myeki and Lusanda Gcilitshana was due to travel from JHB to Maputo at 7:50 am Translux coaches. Unfortunately we could not, we called into the call center and I spoke to Ntlantla explaining the situation and he helped us with opening our ticket and advised that we go into the station to redeem a new one and pay the penalty. On arrival at Parkstation we were told that because Ntlantla had already changed the ticket on the system we should just come back when we are ready to travel and we will be booked in, given new tickets and pay the related difference/penalty. In all this, Not a single staff member at Translux informed us that we were supposed to keep the original tickets until today as we want to book a bus for Friday 12/06/2013.Fully understanding the reason for requesting the original ticket (as only now explained by Anthea). It is however unethical that we are expected to forfeit our ticket rights due to the lack of information given by Translux Employees. I thought there was no further need for the original ticket as everything was captured on the system and we were going to be issued with new tickets. we can't follow rules not communicated to us
