I booked a flight for my 9yr old, only to be told I had to phone back to confirm the booking in half an hour. I did so, only to be told there was still no answer & to phone back again in an hour. I did so again & was told there was still no answer & to phone back every hour! 1st- why is the customer running after SAA who is supposed to be providing a service? 2nd- how can a simply confirmation be such a lengthy Process! Since it was late afternoon I decided to phone the next day, unfortunately I was caught up in meetings so phoned 1st thing today only to be told my entire booking was cancelled due to non-payment! How am I supposed to pay when I have not received a booking confirmation or banking details as I was told I would! Taking note that SAA has my cell no. & e-mail addresses so could have contacted me at any time! I have had to re-book the entire flight and needless to say have been once again told to phone back to confirm the booking! PATHETIC!
Another thing - my elderly mother is not capable of finding her way around OT or reading the relevant signs, hence we request assistance for her. Her last 4 flights NO assistance was given to her at all, fellow passengers helped!
