So I had a flight last night at 19:55, arriving at 19:25 they refused to let me in telling me that boarding closes 40 mins prior, which is fine as it is blatantly stated, ridiculous as it maybe be since I couldve easily still made the flight and have been much later on previous occassions. Nevertheless, I was advised by the check-in desk clerk to contact the ticket desk early in the morning (as they were already closed) and get them to change my ticket. Her exact words were that I needed to do this the next day otherwise I will forfeit my chances.
When I phoned the ticket desk at 087 3104027 at 07:30 I was told that this needed to happen within the first 15mins after the incident and I was advised to contact the call centre and make a new booking as this one was now null and void.

On a personal level I am so dissappointed that the was no sense of lenience at the initial incident, nevermind the urgency of me getting to my destination, but the misinformation causing me to lose all the money I spent, as if I have an extra R1000 to quickly spend on another ticket is literally sickening.
