5 min late due to traffic and they refused us

I booked a flight for my dad to Cape Town from Lanseria. We came all the way from Pretoria north and left 2 hours in order to be in time for his flight. Unfortunately we had some trouble with Traffic due to unexpected road works in the area, eventually we arrived at the Airport 5 min too late according to Refilwe. I advised Refilwe that it was a traffic issue, she called he supervisor and he called the manager, all of them blatantly refused my dad entrance to the flight and request us to book a new flight the next morning. Not only did i waste time and petrol, but i had to pay an additional R 340.00 for the new ticket due to admin fee. I constantly begged the lady to please help us as my dad was unemployed and he got a job and thats why he go back to Cape town, but they still refused us entry. My Question is, what about all the times that i flew already and then had to wait for either a delayed flight or even just wait for the plain to board because of issues. Are Mango also going to start covering consumer costs that the consumer lose due to poor management. No, they will laugh at you. But they can easily tell you in your face that you will forfeit your ticket. MANGO!!!
