Vodacom
Absolutely shocking service

Telecommunications

We upgraded our cell phone contract to an iphone 5. When we asked the sales person by the name of Shannon what size my current iphone 4 was, she said it was a 16 gig. This suited us as the new phone was also a 16 gig. When taking the phone to Vodacom to transfer the information, the information from my old phone to my new was too large and the person assisting me advised me that my old phone is a 32 gig and certainly not a 16 gig. We called the shop where we had purchased it and Shannon refused to even hear our story. When we asked for the owner of the store's number, she refused to give it to us. We have contacted her 4 times today and she has now informed us that because we have put in the new nano card into the device, the device is now second hand and they will not be exchanging it at all despite the fact that we were mislead yesterday. I find this service absolutely appalling and surely under the CPA this cannot be allowed.

We are desperate to sort this problem out and we are getting no joy - surely this was the reason the CPA was developed - to protect consumers?
