Upgraded phone - still no sim

I upgraded from a Blackberry to a iPhone 5. I received my new phone on 10 May, they forgot to send the new small sim card with the phone (as per iphone5), they delivered the new sim on 17 May after many phone calls. I tried since the 17th to do the sim swap and eventually after many phone calls managed to have it done today 21 May, only to find when I tried inserting the new sim that it was too big. I contacted the call centre who advised me to go to the nearest Cell C branch and they would cut it to size for me. I asked if this was normal practice and he just apologised for the inconvenience. I went to Cell C Fourways, who were appauled to hear I wanted them to cut the card. I contacted the call centre again and they said they should have sent me a nano sim and not a micro sim. Their solution was that I should purchase a nano sim and they would refund me. Again, I should be inconvenienced! I have requested they deliver a new sim to me and am currently without a working sim as they were unable to revert back to my old sim. This is totally unacceptable!!! How am I supposed to receive phone calls while this is happening??
