Unfair Practice - Data Bundle Balances Expire

This happens often but this is the first time I decided to air my frustration.
I regularly buy airtime and data bundles via Vodacom for my (1) iPad, (2) iPhone, and (3) Cell Phone.
I seem to constantly overestimate how much data I am going to use and then at the end of the 2nd month following the purchase, I often have quite some data available between the 3 devices. Vodacom then exercises their right to forthwith cancel the balance of the data that is not used.
As a prepaid customer I have very little leverage and no flexibility to negotiate this practice.
Although legally Vodacom seems able to do this. Ethically, this amounts to daylight.
Tomorrow, 30 April 2013, between my 3 devices, I will loose about 800MB of data. Yes, I overestimated my needs when I purchased the data, but Vodacom is using a dominant position to systemise their arrangements with clients to the detriment of clients.
There must be a fairer way to deal with this!
