Ive had my phone since February. I've recently noticed a deterioration in wifi performance to the point I can no longer use wifi. My recent data bill shot up when I discovered my phone was no longer connecting to wifi instead using up expensive 3G.

The specific problem with the iPhone 5 regarding wifi is well documented on apples web site, in fact most stores in the US are running a swap out program.

To my surprise, Cell C have insisted on checking my 2 month old phone in for a 21 working day technical evaluation, despite being able to show the consultant in store that my phone was not able to connect to the in store wifi hotspot.

Furthermore Cell C have been unable to confirm why my data charges are so high. To this extent, I was quite surprised that Cell C charge R2 per mb for out of bundle data usage, despite advertising the same in/out of bundle rate of .15c for the straight up package range which I am mean to be on.

I am bitterly disappointed to have left Vodacom, where service was great and predictable. I'm now bound to a 24 month contract and cannot wait to port back to Vodacom.!
