I had a two year contract with MTN which was due to end January 2013. In January I phoned MTN to asking if I had to sign something to cancel my contract, I was told the contract will be migrated to prepaid automatically.

In February I was billed, I called MTN again to ask why am I being billed. I was told that a month after the contract ends I have to pay arrears therefore thats why I was billed for February, after February my contract will be migrated automatically.

In March I received another invoice, I called MTN and spoke to (Pearl) who told me that my account was not migrated to prepaid. I was misinformed a migration doesn't happen automatically. Pearl send my details to retention for cancellation a credit for March' invoice. Retentions refuses to refund me because there was no proof that I wanted to cancel my contract in January. I told MTN to listen to the call recordings.

Duduzile called me and said her supervisor will contact me after listening to the recordings. Till today, MTN has not called me. I called them twice after they promised to call me and I was told that the supervisor has not listened to the records as yet.
