I went to N1 City Vodacom to purchase a 3G modem for my house and specifically asked the sales person if its usable with multiple Service providers and they said yes. I paid $999.00 for the modem and when I got home it did not work with my network. I called back and another male said that I have to download softwarere from my service provider to make it work. After calling my service provider they said its the modem thats not compatible. I went back to the store to get a refund and the manager said no he cant give me a refund. I insisted since they cave me the wrongful information and he said he needs to contact higher management he cant authorize a refund. I contacted the customer service number he gave me and its now day two and still noting. Where is the ethics going and are we as consumers really protected. Can anyone give me advise.
