Contract Expired - Still billing me same

My contract has just expired. When I was previously with Cell C my contract expired and I immediately went onto prepaid.

I went into a MTN shop in Benmore yesterday where they told me I had to call MTN and notify them that I wanted to go onto prepaid.

Firstly - How is it possible that I can be paying the same amount now that my contract has expired and my phone is paid off?

Secondly - Why do I have to call to request to be put onto prepaid? Surely this is a logical step.

Thirdly - I have called 808 and been on hold for 20 MINUTES trying to get hold of someone to change me to prepaid and NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE. Who has time for this?
