Vodacom refused to fix phone/ cancel contract

I am now absolutely at witts end! I have been struggling with Vodacom for 3 months now and as usual, they get away with not supporting their customers while cashing in.

I took my Blackberry Torch, which had a battery problem, to Cresta repairs. A new battery would only last a week or 2 max. I was told they "won't really look at it" as it had water damage. The water damage was of a year before and had never caused problems. The phone worked perfectly, accept for the battery showing a red cross after a week or 2. I had to insist they book it in for quoting. Unacceptable I'd say. After 5 weeks of ME following up, still nothing. I was told it would cost R4000 to cancel my contract which had 6 months left...?! I was naturally forced to use my old Blackberry Curve as Vodacom was taking forever and also refused to assist with an upgrade. Now my bill has gone from the usual R500-800 to R2900 for the second month! I am paying the BBiS so how is the possible? Technically i have now paid more than the R4000 "cancellation" fee, so I either expect Vodacom to cancel my contract immediately or refund me asap. This is anacceptable and I will take the matter further should they not assist me.
