Account settled but being promised legal action

Settled my MTN account in 2011 and paid up letter was send to me to confirm account settled and Credit Bureaux is reflect that account was paid up, suddenly i'm receiveng calls and sms from the company call VVM debt collector demanding money from me and they advise that im still owing amount of R1893.83 and they are threating of procceding with legal action against me, i spoke to Mapule on 22/02/13, 19/03/13 and 12/04/13 and she promise to attend on the matter, but up to now no respond from her instead i still recieving smses from VVM.
