When my contract came up for renewal late last December I upgraded to the new iPhone 5. In January my phone started randomly showing full charge and then no charge on the battery. I am currently working on a film shoot and could not take it in straight away until the 2nd of February. The lady at the store said she would submit it for warranty repair. The warranty assessment was rejected because the technician says "the battery was taken out, damaged and then put back". I told them no one has had my phone except me and I have never opened an iPhone, ever. Countless emails and phone calls all end in the same response "sorry can't help the phone was tampered with" and no matter what I say, that ends the matter every time. After my phone was returned it was completely dead. As I am still paying for a contract for a phone I can't use I decided to pay for the phone myself. I took it to an apple reseller for repair and also to check the story about tampering. They told me there are no parts for the phone and I must let MTN sort it out. They won't and I have to keep paying my contract because no one at MTN will help me. Talk about crushing the customer! I have all documentation and emails.
