A fault was reported to Telkom in March 2013 - reference 100cwz260313.
This fault was "remotely re-tested and to be free of defects" an sms received from Telkom. If the service was still faulty then the reply was "@F with the telkom number in question. This is after it was reported previously.
This is a persistent problem and the client was told way back in 2012 that the cables have to be replaced.
The above reference was then sent with a message that Telkom will endeavor to resolve the problem asap.
I called again on 3 April and spoke to Khanyi telling her that the clients were seniors who are not in good health and rely on the telephone to communicate should anyone of the two require medical attention etc. There have been occasions when one of them had to be rushed to hospital in the middle of the night. The telephone is their only means of contacting their family for assistance.
Khanyi assured me that the fault would be escalated. - ref. 506554 Well it is now 24 hours later and still nothing has been done. The fault was first reported approx 3 weeks ago.
I would strongly recommend that they switch to Neotel because Telkom has repeatedly let these clients down.
