WARRANTY!!!

I cant understand how they can not find me on the system when I wanted tobook my phone in for repairs.informing me that I need to bring with a proof of purchase but one week after I was at the Garden Centre store they call me to say that I am due for an upgrade. this is insane if you asked me. how do they not have my details on the system when i wana book my phone in for repairs but have my details saying that I am due for an upgrade...!!!
