Not giving feedback wrt new contract

Members of the public be very very careful, do not contact the sales department for new contracts as the people working there are not competent in assisting you as the customer in a proper manner. I've applied for a contract and thereafter changed the the contract type and handset (to a more expensive contract). This was all done on the same day. Apperently Confirmation department at Vodacom informed Joshua of the problem to not change the contract from what I've initially applied for to the alternative I've changed it to on the same day.
How is it possible for a company such as VODACOM to not accomodate changes on a contract application from the cheaper contract & handset to the more expensive contract & handset???
