Bad start for a new contract

My experience so with Cell C so far is starting off well.
2013-03-26 I ordered a phone online through a special on the Cell C website.
2013-04-02: I called the Customer Service number 3 times, selected option 2 no answer
Sent an email on the customer service email asking for update - no response
2013-04-03: I called the customer services number again and still no answer
Sent a second email to get an update, no response
Called the Customer service centre again, selected new sales this time - answered within 2 rings and was informed that the handset I ordered would only be available "hopefully" next week Wednesday/Thursday.
Why didn't the sales person inform me that the handset was out of stock?
How can you run a special when you have no stock without informing people of this?
What is the point of having a "Tracking" email that could've also been updated with "Handset out of stock" instead of "Validating Order Details" for the last week and half?
What is the point of having a customer services option (Option 2) when nobody answers the phone. Likewise with the email - only works if someone responds?
So, we're off to a very bad start here.
