I took out a phone contract for 2 years. It was something like a R100 a month for 100 minutes. After the time has expired I didn't continue with the contract. Also I never rica'ed the simcard for it was under my attention that the contract had been expired. Last week a lady phoned to inform me that I owe them R1376, for over a years fee. According to them if you don't stop the contract it continues on a montly basis. But all the minutes that I would have to pay for has been expired for they only keep minutes for 3 months. My question is, it they can expire my minutes after 3 months, why not expire the contract aswell when they see you don't use it, or don't pay. Or at least phone? I also asked to speak to the manager, and his attitide was just pay the money and keep quit. If their admin to so behind that they only phone after a year, I would never want to do business with them again!! I feel its unfair of them to expect me to pay this amount, because according to me the contract had been expired. I have also tried to put the simcard on in a phone but it doesn't even want to work. So they expect me to apy for a service that doesn't work anymore.
