Hi,
We had a contract update due in March 2013. We wanted the blackberry Z10. I upgraded on my number but wanted to give the phone to my wife. On the day we upgraded I asked the assistant 4 times whether this phone can take BIS (my wife still has BIS) Everytime she said yes. We had to do a sim swap for the micro sim too. The phone wouldn't work so I went back the next day. After 1 hour of testing they decided that the phone is faulty and gave me a new one. After another hour of testing as it still does not work a colleague mentioned that the phone does not work on BIS. I am furious as now I sit with a phone I do not want and cannot work with. It is frustrating me!! If they told me this the first time I would not have taken the contract. I need MTN to either change my contract to another phone or arrange for my wife to use this phone without extra charges.
