Unbelievably bad quality people

I transferred a business line from the previous owner into my name and paid everything outstanding.

Later I received an outstanding amount sms.. which I wanted to query. I went to Telkom direct who, as usual, couldn't deal with the problem because they were too busy standing around joking, trying to look busy or simply didn't know that the customer pays their salary.

I proceeded using the in-store phone, which was my second mistake. The lady on the other side didn't care about my query because she was only interrested in getting home, for it was after 4pm. She proceeded in putting the phone down in my ear. I phoned again and was helped by a lovely lady named Portia who told me was I wanted to hear.

This morning a survey company phoned to find out what my experience in the store was like... how they were dressed... etc???

Complaint or no complaint... Telkom is like visiting King Edward Hospital... a long, tediously agonising process that ends up in pulling one's hair out in frustration.

My complaint is... why is there only this poor service provider dealing in fixed lines in SA?
