Hello Pieter,
After logging a complaint here. There is still a problem after 7days. So I logged yet another call with Telkom, The technician confirm and reported that the problem is with the old decaying & overpopulated Exchange that I am connected to.
According to the technician their department cant do anything, until the upgrade is done there's nothing the Tech can do. According to what I was told by Telkom, this was the same excuse used 18-24 months ago. Where the exchange upgrade was supposedly starting in Aug 2012 and expected completion March 2013. But the tech assured me that no upgrade will be done anytime soon since upgrades are devided in catagory's of Gold, Silver and Bronze... So How long wil telkom continue to paying customers money by not providing what we are paying for...
