Taking forever to activate contract

I have applied for a contract on Wednesday, it is Friday today. I accept the fact that Thursday was a Public holiday. I phoned them today to see how far my application for the S3 was where I was informed that my application for a contract has been approved, but I only have a R260 credit limit (per month) and do not qualify for the S3. I then asked the lady (Bulah) if I can apply for the S3 mini and she told me I could. I then asked if they have in stock and they did have. I asked her to keep the phone for me - and that I wanted it on the top-up 100. I then asked if I would be able to collect my phone before 2 o' clock as it was only 10 am. She said it would not be a problem as I have been approved they only need to activate my account. It is 6pm and I still don't have my phone and nothing has been activated. I phoned MTN Oudtshoorn at about 4pm to hear if they had any news and told me they have had no feedback and am already waiting for 4 contracts to be activated. I think this is utterly pathetic (not from the branch but from the people who have to activate the contracts). I am hoping to have my account activated by tomorrow (I was told 24 hours, it is now 72 hours and counting).
