Contract sold under false pretenses

Wednesday the 13th I went to Mtn parow centre to upgrade my contract. I asked the consultant for a iphone 5s and was told it is not coming out soon. I proceeded to take the iphone 5. Once the upgrade was concluded I was told that I need to go to another store to activate the phone. At this point the phone was not turned on at all. Friday the 15th I went to Mtn Cavendish who informed me that the Iphone 5 was released the same day and the stores had infact been informed prior. The consultant attempted to activate the phone but the battery was dead and could not be activated. I asked if my contract could be cancelled as the the initial contact was sold to me under false pretenses n the phone was never been activated. I was told no. I eventually went to waterfront on Sunday 17th and activated the phone. I was still unhappy as I want the Iphone 5s. I went to see the manger shereen at the parow store and explained my dilemma. She said she would escalate it. To this day I am still waiting on a response from her! I find the customer service of such a big and international company utterly pathetic. Consultants should consider that a client has to pay for 2years and should be satisfied!
