I was at the MTN SP in Menlyn, querying my account that has been suspended after a payment had been made. The dealer at the store called the customer service and stated the problem to the agent (Alivuyisis Mannwanani). I ended up speaking to the agent, telling him that I paid and had sent through the proof of payment. He kept on insisting that I did not pay even after I told him numerous times that I did pay. He said that I should pay the amount I owed and they will open my account. He did not ask for the proof of payment and didn't want to even hear me out when I told him to check with the webmaster email address to confirm that I did make the payment. The tone in which he spoke as the conversation continued was not acceptable. He ended up asking to talk to the dealer, without telling me that he was going to end the call, and told the dealer to tell me that I must just pay that amount that I owed, that's it. I am not happy with the way I was treated because I called the customer service again this morning, and Siya Khumalo (call centre agent) managed to help me sort out the matter within a third of the time it took to try and convince Alivuyisi that I paid.
