Waiting- 7th day for MTN Contract

Last week Monday I went to my nearest MTN store to open another contract (This is my second one which I am opening for my mom as a gift) I applied on the Monday for an Iphone 5 but was told they did not have stock (This was fine however I needed one quite urgently as my mom was coming down soon) I went to go look at other stores, but nothing (The one gentleman reapplied for my contract at his store - I did not know that this would now cancel my other application)(Which was apparently approved on Tuesday last week). On Thursday I went to the store and they had received my phone.. but now they had to reapply for my contract??? Surely if it was approved the first time it should be immediate. espcially if it is in the same week! I still have not received anything and my mom is arriving today!!! can someone please contact me to let me know what is happening?
