MTN out of stock again

I went into the store at Canal Walk exactly 3 weeks ago to start a new data contract with a HP Pavilion DV6-70 laptop.

There was no stock of the laptop and I was told it would probably arrive the following Tuesday for the latest. Instead I received a call to say my contract has been approved but they were still waiting for the stock to arrive and had no ETA.

Last week I went back to the store to follow up as nobody had updated me and was told the stock would "definitely" be arriving this week. I still haven't heard anything and half the week is gone already.

To make matters worse, it seems this is the ONLY MTN store that has NO contact number. The number on MTNs website has been newly allocated to a private residence.

Why advertise something when there is no stock? I phoned a few other branches and they don't have stock either. Was there any stock to begin with? Surely MTN should have reserved some stock from the supplier before advertising? Just browsing Hello Peter I discovered this stock problem isn't unique to laptops either.

I urgently need feedback on when exactly the laptop will be in stock as I am ready to cancel this contract and move to a different provider.
