I applied for a residential ADSL line on 03/02/2013.Initially Telkom couldn't pick up my address on their system. After a lot of liaising back &forth I finally supplied information that (they say) they needed in order to pinpoint the address. The address was wrong and installation was rescheduled upon confirmation of the address. When they arrived for the 2nd time (after checking infrastructure), the technicians informed me that there were no poles for the lines and installation was again rescheduled. After waiting for an entire day I had no word from Telkom. Upon investigating the next day I was told that there was a cabling problem and the installation had to be rescheduled yet again. I have now taken 3 of my annual leave days without any positive outcome. My employer is not very happy with me having to take yet another day's leave for a personal issue. Upon requesting Telkom to send out their technicians on a Saturday I was told that the problem had to be escalated for special circumstances. Telkom does not regard this as special circumstances as they scheduled the installation for Monday 18/3. I am at the end of my tether and awaiting a call from Neotel.
