What a waste of my time!

I had an appointment schedule for installation of an ADSL line today. When I received the sms informing me of this scheduled appointment it also stated that the appointment could be rescheduled online. I tried to reschedule as I need to take leave from work to be available for the installation and this was not a convenient time to take leave. The telkom site kept giving a technical error and I then decided to rather take the leave on short notice to be available.

At 10:09 this morning I phoned the call centre to confirm that the appointment was still scheduled for today. I was told that it was confirmed and the installation will be done today. When no one had arrived by 13:30 I phoned the call centre again to enquire since I had received another sms saying that my order was receiving attention. I was again assured that the technician has my order and he will be here at 16:30 latest.

Well its almost 17:00 now and I'm guessing the installation wont be done today then.

I can just imagine what the service will be like in future if this is how you struggle to become a telkom customer. And then they waste my time with quality survey calls, apparently to improve service HaHa!
