A week after getting a new modem my internet stopped working. Called Telkom & they tested the line & said it was fine. So phoned Afrihost & was told the problem was on Telkoms side, and for R149 a month they would liaise with Telkom for me. Phoned Telkom back & they tested the line - again told nothing wrong. Phoned Afrihost back & was told Telkom port errors. Phoned Telkom for a 3rd time in the same day & after being told error not on their side, gave up, assumed the fault must be Telkoms & logged a fault for a Technician to come out. 9 days after being without internet technician arrived, rebuilt the line and did all sorts of things but still no internet. He told me the settings needed to be reset on my modem - Afrihost had changed my username &password. Phoned Afrihost & guess what was again told that error was on Telkoms side & if I paid R149 a month they would help me!! Service has been disgraceful & my problem should have been sorted out with my very 1st call instead of being without internet for 9 days. Have been phoning Afrihost since 5 March to complain & left msgs for David, Warren etc- no one has bothered to rtn my calls. Disgraceful. Hoping this elicits a response??
