I have been a long-standing customer of Cell C (over 8yrs) and have had numerous issues in the past regarding billing and the attitudes of customer service representatives. I still however, go to them for a contract renewal, as i wanted to avoid the red-tape of porting over to another service provider. I call in for their IPhone 5 contract deal and find that stock is quite limited on this product. Upon calling Northgate Mall, I was advised that there is 1 unit in stock and the salesman said he would keep this aside for me for 24hrs (call made on 12/03 at approximately 2:30pm). I was going to go during work on 13/03 to pick up. I call in at 11am on 13/03 just to confirm everything is in order (due to me having terrible experiences in the past). Low and behold, the salesman advised that he doesn't have the phone anymore as he sold it to someone else!!! This after promising to keep it for me for 24hrs (which had FAR from elapsed). He had no excuse for this when questioned and just promised to get another one for me at a later stage. Absolutely appalling behaviour once again.
