I have a cellphone contract with MTN for a Bold 9900, the phone was exchanged 3 months after obtaining it due to manufacturer problems, this means then that the handset i have now is about 12 months old on contract. then i started having serious problems with the handset, the led light would turn red and the phone would then shut down. I took the phone in to MTN Belville and recieved it back and it worked fine, then about a month later it started having the very same problem and i took it back, it returned after a week, no job card but repaired written on the box yet on the same day i switched the phone on it turned red and switched off again, the only time the phone works is if the charger is plugged in. So i decided to take it to a different MTN and went to the 1 in Vangate, phone was taken in and returned after almost 2 weeks with a R1900 qoute which has no job card but says physical damage. Now question is why was this very expensive diagnosis not made on the first repair? and when i put in another battery this 'very damaged' phone works perfectly. I now have to pay for a manufacturer fault cause i have never damaged this phone and yet still continue to pay my contract?? NO way
