Credit passed on MTN mistake R 7720 less

I upgraded my MTN package in October 2011, from a Procall 600 to a Procall 1000. The upgrade was done, I received a new phone and started paying the higher debit order from month one, which was expected. I then discovered in October 2012 that the additional minutes had not been upgraded on the network, meaning I was still only getting the minutes and call time for a Procall 600 and not the Procall 1000, but I was paying the higher amount for over 12 months. MTN acknowledged their error, but only passed me a credit of R 7736, because MTN explained that their system could only be traced back six months, so they could only pass me 6 month credit. This was R1289 per month according to their credit, but they will not pass a credit for the full period that I was paying for a Procall 1000 but only receiving talk time for a Procall 600. Surely I should be credited for the full error over 12 months and not just 6 months because the call centre agent will not got the extra mile for me and pass the relevant credit to my account? I have been with MTN for over 13 years and am looking to leave them now for this poor judgement on their behalf of what customer service is.. Please help
