Returned my 12 day old Blackberry Z10 to Vodacom Service Centre, Liberty Midlands Mall today. After waiting in the queue for 15 minutes, I was met with a dis-interested service representative (counter 5) who pointedly ignored my description&explaination of the problem&what I had done on advise from the the call centre. When she obtained the test phone&tested my sim card her comment was, "Bru there is nothing wrong with your simcard its the device - you need to book it in over there." I asked if I could get a replacement phone&was told to talk to the people when I booked it in, I then enquired if I could have a sim swop so activate my old blackberry&was told I needed to have my old phone with me. After another 10 minute wait, I booked in my phone, the gentleman was pleasant but helped someone else behind the counter while attending to me. He advised I could obtain a new sim and sent me back to the queue for service consultants. I was then attended to by another disinterested lady (counter 4) who eventually gave me a new sim card. After waiting almost 5 months on my upgrade for this phone I am left wondering why I support Vodacom&whether they know the meaning of customer service?
