Card collection made to sound VERY easy, but

I opened an account over the phone for my daughter. I asked her what i needed to take with when i collected my card and she said "ONLY YOUR ID" and go to the collections counter to pick up the card. I went to the collection counter and the guy said there would be a few forms i needed to fill in. I told him this is not what i was told over the phone. He said i HAD TO see the consultant to complete the forms. So i sat in the queue. There are 3 consultant tables in the btranch of which 1, the lady was asking customers sitting down why they were there. The other 2 consultants were busy. To cut a long story short, i waited 45min to see the consultant (and i was next in the queue)... perhaps i was just unlucky being behind 2 customers that had large queries? When i sat down at the consultant, she said they needed fingerprints for new accounts. I said it was fine. Then i waited a few more minutes, as i think she was waiting for the fingerprint program to open. I asked her how long it would take to complete the forms and she said 20 minutes. I left and said i would not be back. Why 2 different stories between the phone and the branch? This upset me and i am considering moving my business
