MTN data only connecting every second day!

Towards the end of January my phone (iPhone 4S) started having trouble loading websites and updating Facebook. I asked around, checked the web, and saw that it was due to maintenance being done in the Pretoria/Johannesburg area. I was fine with this.

It is now the first week of March and my phones data literally connects every second day. On the days when it doesn't connect, webpages don't load, emails don't sync, Facebook doesn't update, so basically almost ANYTHING that requires data refuses to work (even the FNB app doesn't load). On the alternate days when it works, everything is fine asif nothing has happened. I've contacted the call center to no avail, asked in-store with no luck and tried searching for solutions online with no success. I've tried another sim card in my phone and it works fine, so the phone is not faulty.

This is extremely frustrating and even more infuriating as I pay a large amount every month for my MTN contract and i can only use half of the service that they provide me! Surely this is a breach of contract?

I want a definitive answer and solution to this problem ASAP!
