Vodacom
Charged for Services Not Rendered

Telecommunications

I had a Vodacom 3G contract ported to PrePaid. The original request was sent in on 29 January 2013 and I believed it was resolved and ported by 2 February 2013. On 1 March 2013 a debit order went down from my bank account and I requested that the matter be resolved as I paid for January, the contract was cancelled online and I believed everything was fine by 2 February 2013. Now Vodacom Customer Care claims that the request was submitted 2 February 2013, and that the port occurred 5 February 2013 giving them the "right" to charge me for the full February for a service I did not have or a service I did not use. I have been charged for a service that was not rendered - which is illegal. I have e-mail proof for all the aforementioned and all I see is incompetence and poor communication that cost me money for service that was not rendered and now they are refusing to refund my costs and I am receiving no help from customer care other than being send from pillar to post.
